ignorance is bliss

well, some idiot decided to make a very mean comment on my blog. it has been deleted, i have yet to delete a comment on my blog until now...it was that racist. the person was anonymous, which shows that they know how wrong they are, especially in terms of politics. i put on a uniform everyday in defense of the United States Constitution. i have earned my citizenship, and the right to voice an opinion. my political opinions are never in contradiction of my duties, and will never be. i fully support the leaders and officers appointed over me, and obey the orders given for me to execute. i support my friends and all troops deployed in combat theatre, and in a mission support capacity. i support the right of the idiot to make the comments he made, and defend the same right. i support this guy coming out of the shadow and identifying himself or at least a blog of his own. otherwise, his opinions are without merit here.

I hate it when people leave anonymous posts. It isn't illegal to voice your opinion, even if it is opposit of what some other people may think. It's the differences in people that have made the world go around for millions of years. Isn't that how people have "discussions?"

Anyway....

Anonymous should just post whom he/she is. Unless Anonymous is afraid of being judged as well. Fair is fair.

Sadly, when you throw a blog out there, it is in theory for view of everyone in the whole world.

The Internet is sort of like a highway in the United States--you will see acts of selfless heroism & random acts of kindness, and you will see acts of random aggression and cruelty.

The "illusion" of isolation and anonymity bring out the extreme best and the extreme worst in people--just like on the highway.

See what you forget to let others know, is that yeah maybe you do support and defend our country, but just wearing a uniform doesn't make you an upstanding abiding citizen of this country. When you were under the age of 21 were you drinking alcohol? If I can remember that is not only breaking a law of the military, but of also our country. You say that you put on a uniform everyday, abide by the orders you are given, and you execute your daily duties to support and defend the people of our country's right to the 1st Amendment.....riiiiiiiiight. You know the military is the shadiest organiztion our country supports? What's even more funny is that I am in the military......everyday I see adultery, I see underage drinking, I see bastard children born, I see individuals that are pedophiles, molestors, rapists, burglars, domestically violent, drug abusers, alcoholics, and not to mention the biggest group of individuals that I've seen with NO morals or values. Why I ask myself.......well, you know maybe it's because the standards of the our countries military have increasingly diminished. We have began letting in practically anyone with a 3rd grade education level who can hold a gun to a shooting target and fire, oh and of respond to everything in a Sir/Ma'am response. I have always wondered why the Air Force pushes 3 core values, when themsleves, even the highest of command positions don't follow them. Integrity First......well, don't let me keep harping on the subject, but underage drinking, adultery, even getting away from the values that were instilled into us.....how about when the uppers do what they can to cover their asses even if it means taking an innocent enlisted person out. Next, Service Before Self.......let's see maybe my strongest point could be how some worry about their own ass before worrying about the good of others. I have learned that going out of my way to do for others is more beneficial to me for my own pride rather than all the recognition that I have recieved for doing so. Lastly, Excellence in all we do.......well, damn, I guess it's easy to be good at something that takes little or no education to complete.....drinking, smoking, having sex, etc......how about finishing school, moving on to better things. I see more people using the military as a crutch instead of a stepping stone to 'real' goals. Just last month, I watched a 20 year TSgt. retire from the Air Force......one word.....SAD. So, if you have such a problem with me defending and using my right to speak my mind about where I stand on issues, then keep deleting my opinions off your blog otherwise allow them to stay posted for all to see, maybe a friend or two will step up and speak on your behalf......cause trust me, I can go all day on this.
