back in vegas

my trip was awesome! i love going back home, and i had time to see everyone that i wanted to. it seems strange that home seems less and less like home the more you return to it. i have friends facing criminal charges, pregnant, or already with a kid. what a strange world. the bar scene was awesome, and thanks to Zen i was able to hit up a few hott spots. a word to the wise, there are a lot of gays at the WetBar, so if you don't like that stuff don't go... lesson learned. Atlanta is a rapidly growimg city, and i love it! GO BRAVES!!!

in Atlanta

friends, excuse my absence. i arrived in Atlanta on the 14th, and will be here through the 26th. i saw that the city has grown. i want to get a tour of the aquarium, see if buckhead still rocks, and go heckled Cynthia McKinney. I won't bother her, she's gone through enough. I may see a Tech basketball game.....however...know this....i will have many drinks.

Iraq Study Group

The Iraq Study Group (ISG) has changed the political atmosphere. I applaud the bipartisan effort for not putting blame, but rather pointing toward improvement. The parties recommendations are very precise, and make the most sense. While i have always staunchly advocated my political orientation (Conservative), you all know that i also use common sense and admit the faults of my party. The administration's idealogy for this war was excellent, however the execution of the idealogy of democracy was flawed because we underestimated the population and the insurgency. We might have been slow to adapt to changes on the ground and political atmosphere. The ISG was correct in saying that a military solution may not be a better answer to the problem than a political one. There are a multitude of influences, which area all addressed. I hope that whatever we do improves the situation. Even if we don't, i'm ready to put my boots on the ground where ever i'm required to.

night out with the peeps!

here's a pic of a night out at a japanese steakhouse with my pals.

people with a worse sex life than you

i figured we've been covering serious topics all week, so let's relax for today!

(1) Michael McPhail, 26, was arrested in Spanaway, Wash., in October after his wife said she caught him having sex with the couple's pit bull terrier. (Washington's new anti-bestiality law took effect in June, passed after the highly publicized 2005 death of a man in Enumclaw who allowed himself to be penetrated by a horse.) (2) Bryan Hathaway, 20, was arrested in Superior, Wis., in October and charged with molesting a deer carcass that he said had sexually aroused him when he saw it in a ditch. (Hathaway's lawyer has raised the defense that the anti-bestiality law only applies to sex with live animals.)
