This blog is basically for me to describe how i feel about crap that goes on, and to try to find my old friends who i haven't seen in ages.

in Atlanta

friends, excuse my absence. i arrived in Atlanta on the 14th, and will be here through the 26th. i saw that the city has grown. i want to get a tour of the aquarium, see if buckhead still rocks, and go heckled Cynthia McKinney. I won't bother her, she's gone through enough. I may see a Tech basketball game.....however...know this....i will have many drinks.

we had a debate - national school-level debate competition three four years ago. does india develop her human resources for other countries.
everone agreed she does in the end. we have too many people and too less well-paying jobs. everyone wants to send their kids abroad. there's too much competition on all levels.

On ATL bars (your question), I am going to say THIS ONE, because you will probably hit Buckhead anyway and this is just a little south on Piedmont across from where the Gold Club used to be.

And because this shopping center is new and the bar must be new and up to date.

The last time I went to Buckhead the modus operandi is still sort of just walk around and see what is happening.

Or, you could do something WAY different and do a pub crawl through EAST Atlanta.

But that is a night in and of itself, and could be combined with a Little Five Points thing but not Buckhead.

(If you have a REALLY REALLY nice ride I would skip East Atlanta/L5P and just park in an expensive lot in Buckhead. The Lindbergh thing might be free parking.)

Having said all of that I seem to have heard some good things about Verve.

(Chop off the ends of my links and just look at the www.atlanta.citysearch.com under night life if you want.)

Here's another big assed list. The problem seems to be TOO MANY OPTIONS--not NOT ENOUGH.

THIS JUST IN:

This salesman that works here just told me that "East Andrews" in Buckhead is the latest hot spot. The street that it is on is named, "East Andrews." Or there should be a map on this link.

It is supposed to be the latest "picking up chicks"-place. He says the party starts on the lower level, and then you move to the top level where it's a club.
